Build A Backyard Waterfall

A step by step guide to creating a serene backyard stream complete with waterfalls.

Getting Started

This is an 8 step project that should take approximately two weekends to complete. As with any outdoor project that involves digging, you should contact your local utility company to have them mark the ground for any buried electric, gas or water lines.

The first step to getting started is determining where your stream and waterfalls will be located. The layout of your yard will probably be the biggest factor in deciding how you want to position everything. Several items to consider are soil foundation, slope of the intended build area and size of the stream. Once all of this has been determined you can move on to choosing the necessary supplies to complete your project.
